TANGO ON THE EDGE

Founded as a dance club in Jan. 2007 and incorporated as a not for profit club on July 25, 2008, the mission of Tango on the Edge Inc. is to promote Argentine tango in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The club presently meets two nights a week at the Arts and Culture Centre to dance, practice and share Argentine Tango knowledge, Thursdays at 7:00 – 9:00.

During the year the club hosts workshops bringing professional instructors from as far away as Argentina and regularly host Milongas (Argentine Tango dance parties)

Newcomers are always welcome, singles or couples.

Why ‘Tango on the Edge’?

Not only is Newfoundland & Labrador on the edge of the North American continent, but (along with the island of Hydra near Greece, the Bermuda Triangle, and Papua New Guinea,) Brimstone Head, Fogo, Newfoundland is considered by the Flat Earth Society to be one of the four corners of the earth.
